WHAT IS KENT FACTOR?

Kent Factor is a FREE to enter talent competition created to invite people of all ages and abilities within Kent to perform in front of a live audience in our Britannia Theatre. 

If you are interested in taking part, you must apply by completing the application form below. We will then ask you to send us a video recording of yourself which will be your audition tape. It is then decided whether we will invite you to take part in the competition and you will be put in to your set.

Each week a set of 15 talented individuals will compete against each other in order to win a spot in the final.  A set of industry professional judges will provide valuable feedback to each act. Only one act goes through to the final each week and this is done by audience voting.

The winners from each set will then go through to the final and compete to win 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, along with a substantial cash prize. 

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

If you can sing, dance, act, juggle, make us laugh or even perform magic, you need to enter now! It really doesn't matter what your act is as long as it is entertaining!

All performances will be in front of a live audience on the Britannia Theatre stage at Dickens World.

WHEN ARE THE SHOWS?

Every week from 14th April 2013 for 15 weeks. Each week a set of 15 acts will perform in front of a live audience on the Britannia Theatre stage with the winner of each set going through to the grand final on 28th July 2013.

5th May, 12th May, 19th May, 26th May

2nd June, 9th June, 16th June, 23rd June, 30th June

7th July, 14th July

WILL YOU USE MY PHOTOGRAPH'S OR VIDEO'S?

Yes, we will be taking photographs on each night listed above. Any photographs or videos taken will be used on our website and social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, our large outdoor car park screen and YouTube. We will also invite the media e.g. television, newspapers and radio along to the shows and we will send the press editorial, which may include your name, and images. These images and any other information about you will NOT be used in an offensive or derogative manner.  

HOW WILL YOU USE MY INFORMATION?

Britannia Theatre Entertainments and Dickens World are the only two parties who will contact you and use your information. We will not pass on any of your data to a third party.

We may collect, store and use your information for the following:

Information you have provided to us for registering purposes - In order to contact you about Kent Factor auditions, Kent Factor shows, your Kent Factor act, whether you have reached the Kent Factor final. 

Information you have provided us with for the purpose of subscribing to Britannia Entertainments or Dickens World's mailing lists for email notifications or newsletters about Kent Factor. 

We may use your information to contact you about forthcoming events at Dickens World or the Britannia Theatre.

Your name, age and information about your act and image of you may be passed on to the press. 

(A consent form will be sent to you for either yourself or your guardian to sign)

Friends/Family of acts: £2.50 per ticket (The act will have a special number to quote for their friends/family to book)

Standard entry to live shows: £3.00
